[VIGO] Enfrentamientos con la policía en la Huelga del Metal 2009

(crónica 3 de Junio) Dura jornada de huelga la en el metal vigués, con nueve heridos (cuatro manifestantes y cinco policías) y numerosos destrozos en el mobiliario urbano. Trabajadores del sector y antidisturbios se enzarzaron en una guerra abierta, con lanzamiento de pelotas de goma, tornillos gigantes y piedras. Los huelguistas arrasaron con todo lo que se encontraban a su paso por las céntricas calles de la ciudad, algo que el propio alcalde y los empresarios calificaron de puro ‘vandalismo’. Los sindicatos anunciaron tres días más de paro para la próximas semana y a partir del viernes será indefinido.
Guerrilla urbana. Así se podía denominar la terrible estampa que dejó ayer Vigo en la quinta jornada de huelga del metal de la provincia. Manifestantes y antidisturbios se enzarzaron en una violenta bronca, que causó cuatro heridos y numerosos desperfectos de mobiliario urbano. Camelias fue una de las calles más afectadas. Quedó totalmente arrasada por los huelguistas, que lanzaron petardos y botes de humo y quemaron varios contenedores y papeleras, causando una gran humareda (la policía estaba en el lugar, pero en ese momento no actuó). Efectivos de la Policía Nacional llegaron a Praza América en furgonetas a gran velocidad y allí tuvieron el primer enfrentamiento. Dieron varias vueltas a la glorieta, con la intención de disuadir a los que cortaban el tráfico y los trabajadores, finalmente, echaron a correr por calle Coruña hacia Beiramar, segundo punto de conflicto. Allí lanzaron tornillos de gran tamaño y piedras y montaron una gran barricada con la quema de neumáticos y contenedores. El tráfico también fue protagonista ayer. Si a algo están acostumbrados los vigueses es armarse de paciencia por el caos de tráfico que se crea en la ciudad. Ayer, más de lo mismo. Los manifestantes partieron de la zona de Barreras, Vulcano y de la Avenida de Madrid y recorrieron todo el centro. Colón, Urzaiz, Gran Vía, Praza de España y Praza do Rei. Delante del Concello celebraron una asamblea y los líderes sindicales anunciaron tres días más de huelga para la próxima semana (miércoles, jueves y viernes). El viernes ya será paro general, es decir, afectará a todo el sector (incluidas las empresas con convenio propio como PSA) y a partir de ese día será huelga indefinida. Por su parte, la Confederación de Empresarios de Pontevedra (CEP) manifestó su ‘repulsa al acto lamentable y vandálico’ e instó a los sindicatos a que regresen a ‘la vía del diálogo social’ para volver a retomar las negociaciones. La CEP lamenta la ‘imagen negativa’ que la ciudad está dando con conflictos como éste, que resulta ‘desfavorable para incentivar futuras inversiones en nuestra provincia’ y genera ‘importantes pérdidas económicas’.
Cóctel Molotov contra un autobús con pasajeros
Un autobús Vitrasa sufrió ayer el ataque de un grupo de manifestantes, que abordaron el vehículo lanzando un cóctel molotov. El suceso se produjo sobre las 13.30 en el C9 que se dirigía de Calle Coruña a la plaza de Eugenio Fadrique, según informó la empresa. Los huelguistas bloquearon el paso y mostraron su intención de atacarlo con o sin pasajeros, momento en el cual el conductor abrió las puertas para que pudieran bajar. Minutos después se lanzó el objeto incendiario que reventó el parabrisas e incendió parte de los asientos traseros. Casi al instante llegó al lugar un equipo de bomberos que extinguió las llamas, con la ayuda de algún manifestante. Vitrasa informó de que no hubo que lamentar heridos, pero la compañía se vio en la obligación de cortar el tráfico hacia el centro. Sólo permanecieron en servicios las líneas que salían desde Praza de España hacia las afueras de Vigo y lejos de la zona del conflicto. El portavoz municipal del PSOE, López Font, y el concejal de Empleo, Santos Héctor, visitaron por la tarde las instalaciones de Vitrasa para mostrar su ‘compromiso y solidaridad’ con la empresa por el hecho ocurrido, según señaló Font en una rueda de prensa. El Concello mostró su ‘más enérgica repulsa a estos actos vandálicos’ e insistió en que son ‘conscientes de que los autores son una minoría’. También informó de que en la jornada de huelga del metal se quemaron cuatro contenedores y uno más resultó dañado y que un total de 130 tuvieron que ser recolocados en la zona de Camelias y Calle Coruña.

Los sindicatos dicen a la patronal que siguen en disposición de negociar, pero ya han convocado tres días de huelga para la próxima semana, que será general el viernes (incluidas empresas con convenio propio) e indefinida a partir de entonces si no se soluciona el conflicto. Los empresarios exigen que cesen los actos vandálicos para poder retomar las conversaciones.
Los enfrentamientos registrados en la jornada entre los efectivos antidisturbios de la Policía Nacional y los trabajadores del sector metalúrgico, quienes mantienen hoy su quinto día de paro por el convenio colectivo, se saldaron con un total de cuatro huelguistas y cinco agentes heridos. Fuentes sindicales confirmaron que, a consecuencia de los altercados, un total de cuatro huelguistas resultaron lesionados, tres de ellos por ‘pelotazos’ y otro, al parecer, por el impacto de una porra. Entre estos casos, el que en principio reviste mayor gravedad es el de un delegado de CC OO a quien el impacto de una pelota podría haber provocado una fractura en las costillas. Después de las primeras atenciones sanitarias recibidas en la zona de los incidentes, esta persona fue trasladada al Hospital Meixoeiro. Por su parte, fuentes de la Subdelegación del Gobierno en Pontevedra confirmaron que cinco policías resultaron heridos ‘leves’ a consecuencia del impacto de ‘objetos lanzados por huelguistas’ y, por ello, también requirieron asistencia médica. Con respecto al material urbano, un total de 130 contenedores tuvieron que ser recolocados y cuatro fueron quemados. La fue dura, pero la jornada de huelga que habrá hoy puede ser aún peor. Así lo anunciaron ayer los líderes sindicales en una asamblea que celebraron en el astillero Barreras. El portavoz de la CIG, Antolín Alcántara, advirtió que ‘la respuesta (a la carga policial) será mayor’. El miércoles, jueves y viernes de la próxima semana habrá huelga en el sector. A partir de ahí —y de no haberse solucionado el conflicto — el lunes continuaría el paro, con carácter indefinido.
