Después de batallar con la nefasta atención médica de esta unidad penitenciaria federal, que durante meses y meses no soluciona nada, logra a través de la procuración penitenciaria y su juzgado de ejecución, un turno con un proctólogo, en un hospital extramuros. Según los especialistas, su problemilla es de simple solución, con una sencilla cirugía.
Luego de efectuar pruebas y estudios pre quirúrgicos, le dan fecha para solución de su vida cotidiana. Llega el dichos oficio de su tribunal para que la unidad de traslado del SPF la lleve; para ello dicho especialista ordena prescripciones estrictas de cómo el centro medico de la unidad debe prepararla para su cita en el hospital, tratándose de una enema rectal y de la administración oral de un medicamento especifico.
De la noche anterior ella reclama dicha preparación, que jamás efectúan “los responsables” de nuestra salud.
Al día siguiente, sin previo aviso (como es costumbre por estos lares) se la llevan para el hospital. Aun sabiendo ella, que es inútil trasladarla hasta allí, no se niega. Hacerlo significaría que con su negativa justifiquen su desinterés por su propia salud, anulando turnos, tratamientos, etc. Y eso que los traslados no tiene nada de agradables: horas de esperas en retenes infectos, requisas, camiones sin aire ni ventilación, que para ahorrar viajes aglutinan diversos pasajeros de distintas unidades, todos esposados rodeados de latas a muchos grados de temperatura.
En efecto fue inútil, la famosa “calesita”, el especialista se niega a realizar su trabajo sin la adecuada preparación. Pierde el turno una vez más. Vuelta a empezar con los tramites de la burocracia infernal. Esta vez para el día 14 de enero. Ella continua reclamando su preparación que vuelve a ser inexistente. Por otros medios consigue una enema de esas de farmacia, una de las compañeras se lo aplica a la madrugada para no perder el turno. Como ignoramos el tratamiento de administración oral, este no se lleva a cabo. Parte para el hospital. Eso si, sin el completo historial medico clínico, como correspondería.
Le realizan el estudio de rectoscopia, parece ser que por unas practicantes. Algo falla, pero hasta entonces el especialista le in forma a ella, que con un tratamiento adecuado safa de la cirugía…vuelve a la unidad, muy pero muy mal, aparentemente con un problema adicional en sus vértebras, por causa de dicho estudio.
Al llegar exige un traumatólogo, el dolor la vence. No le hacen caso. Era jueves, el viernes fisioterapeuta se va de vacaciones, del traumatólogo de la unidad nada se sabe…
La directora del centro medico, minimiza la situación, recetando analgésicos y respondiendo que el lunes se verá.
Ella pasa días sufriendo fuertes dolores, deciden aplicarle inyectables analgésicos (corticoides más diclofenac) cada 24hs.
Llega el lunes, perciben algo de su gravedad, la cuelan en un traslado al HPC (hospital de servicio penitenciario en el penal vecino del complejo de ezeiza). Allí se desmaya ante un traumatólogo que le realiza placas y estudios (en la unidad el aparato rayos x se rompió). No la trata, solo la envía de vuelta con un diagnostico confuso: “que si desplazamiento de vértebra, o quizás hernia discal….”
Reposo y analgésicos por una semana hasta ver como evoluciona.
Ella resiste en el pabellón, con sus compañeras que la cuidan. Internarla en centro medico no es recomendable y se niega. Empeora los primeros días, se buscan y consigue autorizaciones para que la enfermera la inyecte en su cama (prohibido hacerlo en el pabellón) para que no sufra tanto, no tiene movilidad para subir las escaleras del centro medico. Al fin autorizan tan audaz hazaña, pero el miércoles siguiente, nadie sabe porque no aparece la enfermera (una para toda la unidad), pasan las horas, se reclama varias veces, ya van seis horas de retrazo, se vuelve a reclamar de malas maneras, se agota la paciencia de sus compañeras que llevan horas oyendo sus llantos y gemidos de dolor.
Tortura se llama eso.
A las 21:30hs, logramos la aplicación de la inyección, continuamos cuidándola, aseándola y alimentando con esa solidaridad que solo se encuentra en casos extremos en nuestra actualidad.
Pasan los días, parece que muy lentamente va mejorando, ignoramos lo que realmente tiene, siente debilidad y frío interno, y eso que no bajamos los treinta grados de calor.
Hoy lunes, llega el día, vuelve a llevarla al HPC.
Nuestras esperanzas se renuevan, la atenderán, en la incertidumbre de su diagnostico llegara a su fin.
Llega al pabellón dolorida, el traumatólogo le da a entender que algo anda mal en su medula ósea, que lo provocaron en ese maldito estudio que le hizo vomitar verde, que precisa consultar otro especialista, no la trata y la envía de vuelta.
Otra semana de tratamiento a base de analgésicos, hasta el siguiente lunes, y ella asustada dolorida angustiada, no entiende lo que tiene. ¿Será solo inflamación en su medula? ¿O habrá infección?
