Nosotrxs lxs presxs en los centros de exterminio del estado griego, cansados de las falsas promesas de todos los ministros de justicia de los últimos diez años sobre la mejora de las condiciones penitenciarias, decidimos movilizarnos y exigir nuestras justas reivindicaciones.
A partir del 3 de Noviembre 08, más de 8000 presos y presas de las cárceles del estado griego empezaron un ayuno masivo que culminó con una huelga de hambre que se han ido juntando más de 7000 presxs. Mediante esta lucha coordinada, lxs presxs, algunxs de lxs cuales se cosieron los labios como muestra de protesta, entre otras cosas reivindican:
El cese de las penas disciplinarias, una completa asistencia médica, una mejora en los aseos y la reducción en tres años de diversas penas para disminuir la aglomeración en las cárceles, ya que su capacidad es de 8243 presxs y actualmente hay 13.000, la reducción de la pena perpetua a los 12 años, la abolición de las cárceles de menores, la reducción de la prisión preventiva a 12 meses.
Un año y medio después de la revuelta del Abril de 2007, la represión, las palizas, las penas disciplinarias y los traslados vengativos, los presxs de la democracia griega han pasado masivamente a la protesta reivindicando lo que es un deseo vital: vida y libertad.
Algunos de los datos oficiales evidencian la miseria de los números de la “reinserción”. Alrededor de 13.000 presxs (de lxs cuales unxs 3.500 son preventivxs) apiladxs en 30 cárceles, que oficialmente su capacidad es de 8243 presxs. En los últimos diez años 417 presos han muerto. Sólo durante 2008, las muertes han ascendido a 41.
Estamos en solidaridad con la lucha de los presos y presas porque sabemos que en las cárceles incluso la más mínima reivindicación (hasta a veces la exigencia de que el estado cumpla sus propias leyes) es un conflicto con el poder, que requiere voluntad, coraje, riesgo, pasión por la libertad. Somos solidarixs con la lucha de lxs presxs sin ningún interés de sacar plusvalía política, sin tratar de dirigirla, ya que -creemos en las luchas autoorganizadas y antijerárquicas- los medios, los objetivos, las formas y los tiempos de las luchas sociales, deben ser autogestionadas y decididas en común por sí mismas y no por vanguardias iluminadas, humanistas sensibles o mentores políticos.
Mientras haya cárceles, encarceladxs y carceleros, la lucha por su destrucción será nuestra lucha.
