Con la realización de estas jornadas pretendemos crear un espacio de debate e intercambio de ideas en torno a un elemento tan importante como creemos que es el aprendizaje. Vemos muy necesario realizar un análisis sobre el tipo de educación, tanto privada como estatal, y en todos sus niveles, a la que nos vemos abocados a lo largo de nuestra vida, contemplando tanto sus problemas más tangibles como sus repercusiones sociales como garante y perpetuador del sistema político en el que estamos inmersos. Entendemos pues, esta educación como un pilar básico sobre el que se asienta la sociedad actual y de cuyas prácticas se derivan el individualismo, la competitividad, el sexismo... que caracterizan nuestra vida en común.
Pero tan o más importante que este análisis crítico de la problemática actual, creemos que es plantear una alternativa práctica real, alternativa que no pasa por una única vía, sino por múltiples caminos que abordan desde diferentes puntos de vista el aprendizaje desde una postura antiautoritaria. Caminos que existieron y merecen ser recordados para aprender de ellos, caminos que existen y deben potenciarse y evolucionar, y nuevos caminos por empezar. Entendemos el aprendizaje como motor de cambio social, y por ello, como un concepto mucho más amplio de lo que institucionalmente se entiende por educación, alcanzando un proceso vital que continuamente configura nuestra personalidad, nuestras formas de actuar, nuestros deseos y pensamientos; siendo un proceso colectivo, de socialización del saber tanto teórico como práctico, que sea enriquecedor, no utilitario, fruto del esfuerzo e interés de todas y en el que todas aprendamos en igualdad de condiciones.
La totalidad de las charlas y debates de estas jornadas tendrán lugar en la Escuela Popular de Prosperidad, situada en la calle Luis Cabrera 19. Las paradas de metro más cercanas son Prosperidad, Avenida de América y Cruz del Rayo.
