¿Por qué unas jornadas anti desarrollistas en Extremadura?
La idea de organizar estas jornadas nace con el ánimo de propiciar un lugar de encuentro para todos los colectivos y personas comprometidas con la defensa de la naturaleza, que luchan contra la ideología desarrollista y que se oponen de manera firme al avance de una sociedad artificial y nociva.
Los altos costes ecológicos y sociales que conllevan las grandes infraestructuras diseñadas y llevadas a cabo en Extremadura en los últimos tiempos van a convertir la región en un espacio natural gravemente afectado, con miles de kilómetros de nuevas autovías, vías de trenes de alta velocidad, industrias contaminantes como las refinerías y las térmicas, un urbanismo voraz e incontrolado y la constante amenaza de centrales nucleares como la de Almaraz, que disfruta de una nueva prórroga de 10 años.
El coste ecológico es evidente, siendo Extremadura una de las zonas europeas con mayor biodiversidad y mayores espacios naturales.
Pero no es sólo la destrucción ecológica la que nos lleva a observar con alarmante preocupación todos estos proyectos, sino la profunda e irreversible transformación social que se produce y que al fin y al cabo es de lo que se trata: crear una sociedad hiper movilizada, con un tejido económico apoyado en el sector servicios y el sector energético, un territorio plegado a los intereses turísticos y mercantiles y una región extremeña convertida en parque logístico a caballo entre Madrid y Lisboa.
Si nadie lo remedia, Extremadura se subirá al tren de las oligarquías dominantes en los próximos años, con un proyecto clave y preferente como es el AVE Madrid-Lisboa. Pero el proyecto de la Alta Velocidad no es más que la piedra angular de esta política y ha venido precedido de la construcción de autovías, rondas, obras hidráulicas y centrales térmicas, a las que se añadirán, según el “Plan especial” del 2007 para la región extremeña, un aeropuerto y la plataforma logística “del Suroeste ibérico”. De por sí se define el modelo territorial al que se aspira, basado en la concentración urbana, la hiper movilidad y el despilfarro energético.
En Hervás nos daremos cita entre los días 20 y 22 de agosto para conocernos, debatir, aunar fuerzas, poner en común inquietudes, visibilizar diferencias, buscar estrategias de lucha conjuntas y profundizar en el análisis sobre las causas y consecuencias del desarrollismo.
Para ello hemos conformado un programa de actividades que van desde los debates, charlas y mesas redondas, hasta espacios y momentos de distensión, convivencia y expresiones artísticas.
Hemos habilitado un espacio de acampada en una bonita pradera junto al río y ofrecemos alojamiento bajo techo a personas con necesidades espaciales(personas con peques, personas con problemas de movilidad…). Ofreceremos comedores veganos a un precio muy económico durante los 3 días.
Estas jornadas están autogestionadas y por eso os pedimos a todos/as los/las asistentes vuestra colaboración para que todo se desarrolle en el mejor de los ambientes (necesitaremos personas con ganas de ayudar los días previos, personas con ganas de cocinar, limpiar, etc.).
