Fallece la presa griega Katerina Goulioni en el transcurro de un traslado tras denunciar las condiciones de su encierro

Llevaba 2 años de encierro en un psiquiátrico penitenciario debido a delitos relacionados con su adicción a la heroína, pero eso no le impidió luchar de forma activa por sus derechos y los de sus compañeras denunciando su situación.

Como tantas otras veces, en el més de febrero unas carceleras entraron en su celda obligándola a desnudarse y para comprobar si tenía drogas escondidas en el ano. No contentos con los resultados negativos de tal examen, y tras amenazarla de aislamiento la llebaron a las dependencias médicas, para que una "ginecóloga" la sometiera a un examen más exaustivo. La enfermería era una pozilga, nada estaba limpio y la doctora pretendía introducirle los dedos en la vagina, en lugar del instrumental adecuado para tal fin (un dispositivo esterilizado con una cámara en su extremo) para cumplir los deseos de sus captoras de encontrar alguna sustancia que pudiera incriminarla. Katerina hizo lo que haría cualquier persona digna, negarse a que su intimidad e higiene fueran violadas. Por este motivo fué reducida y trasladada a aislamiento.

Una vez en la celda de castigo, fué obligada a vestir ropas ridículas, como si de un payaso se tratase, ante las carcajadas de sus carceleras. Es evidente la humillación y la impotencia que debía sentir esta mujer de 41 años.

Esta situación fué denunciada públicamente por katerina en una carta que envió al "Sinigoros tou Politi" una institución que hace la función de avogacía de oficio de cara a los reclusos sin recursos económicos.

Esta denuncia motivó que katerina fuese trasladada de la cárcel de Thiva - cerca de Atenas - en la que residía, a la cárcel de Chania, en el barco que comunica Pireo con Creta. El el transcurso de este traslado fué hallada muerta con las manos esposadas a la espalda, y con marcas debidas de haber sido golpeada. Pese a estos hechos, y sin haberse realizado la autopsia, la versión oficial del forense es que la muerte se produjo por sobredosis, algo poco creible debido a que katerina tenía las manos esposadas en la espalda, y en todo caso, de salir positivos los test de drogas, resulta evidente que alguien se la suministro.

La solidaridad no se hizo esperar y el motín estalló en 3 cárceles griegas. En la calle se va ha combocar una manifestación para denunciar estos hechos en los próximos días.
